Its christmas

Hi everyone.

Its christmas! Love is in the Air! and it got blown away by the wind! JUST KIDDING. So lame i think i repeated this. Ok bad memory but oh well. Its christmas and its time for spirit of giving or was it sharing? That not the point anyway haha. The most important thing is to give your friends/loved ones a present to show your appreciation so whoever reads this owes me a christmas present! YAY! Darren & kian Wee's video will be uploaded soon i suppose. Its one year late sorry but nvm haha. Sorry todays post is short cause i am out of ideas naturally i dun have any i jsut steal ideas to modify but lately nothing much to arouse my interest so i hope all of you enjoy christmas. Ok so i am here again after awhile. I am not supposed to say anything emo or as darren calls it,'emo-nemo'. Live could not get any better than this, with the Sun shining its warm rays down upon us and then we'll embrace ourselves in the glory of its purifying light. The trees look ever so mighty and tall as we glance upon what we call the beauty of nature. The blue sky looks especially serene and the white fluffy clouds just adds on to the beautiful day. "ITS SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!" ~cute girl from despicable me.

Doesn't this beautiful day make you feel so HAPPY. Now, its enough of that nonsense. Just trying my best to get you guys into the mood. As the greek gods once said, 'With the might of Hercules and the speed of Hermes no task cannot be accomplished by the Olympians.' Just kidding, they never said anything like that, I just lost my train of thought. From my other post i would like to correct it. The banana king told Charlie the Unicorn,' You will never be happy if you live your life in fear.' What i wrote the other time was not exactly what the banana king said. So all you kids out there please listen to the banana king and don't live your life in FEAR!!

Well, honestly today is quite nice if you want more over-exaggerated talk feel free to ask. Anyway i am going into hiding in some cave off the coast of France to hone my 108 secret skills and then i am going to visit my Ninja Academy at the Cabuba Pentagon, just 48 miles the west of its brother the Bermuda Triangle. So I guess there will be a shortage of emo stuff here BUT do not FRET for one day i will be back to post something random here again. While doing that all of you can listen to charlie the unicorn' banana song.

I really miss the time when we just became 3D. In 2009, things were very different. I'm sure most of us notice that the class was more united at that point of time. Then, things changed after a year.

Yes, all of us came from different backgrounds with different attitudes and expectations. It is human nature to have occasional hiccups in whatever relationships we have wether it is a romantic attachment or just classmate-to-classmate friendship.

The important thing is how we value each other as classmates and our cohesion as a class. If we actually value our togetherness, we would make the effort to wipe out misunderstandings and end conflicts as soon as possible. I hope every one of us have this common understanding.

Secondary school life is a once in a lifetime experience. I'm sure all of us don't want to regret not doing things that we could've enjoyed together. I firmly believe that it is still not too late to relive the unity that we once had. We just need each and every one of us to be aware of this and appreciate each other's company more.

There were times when we feel unsatisfied with one another. Even I, too, felt this way sometimes but I tolerated because I know everyone is different. Yes, there were times when I may be harsh when it comes to discipline but it was for everyone's own good. I make mistakes too and there were times I hurt other's feelings.

Sometimes, the only way people know of their mistake is by telling them straight because people may hurt unconsciously. Bottling up feelings won't help either. I really appreciate those who inform me of my faults and tried to make me a better person. And when people are trying to learn and improve, please guide them along.

As classmates and friends, we need to support one another instead of tearing one another down. We can say that we already have friends outside or already have our own cliques, but hey, we have already been placed together as classmates so might as well make use of this opportunity to forge friendly and healthy ties, right? The people we meet here may not be as good as the ones we are going to meet in the future.

For me, to be honest: I really miss you guys and yes, I love you, 4D. Really, each and every one of you. That's why I try to attend every class functions that we have even though I'm quiet most of the time. I just wanted to be with you guys! I understand some of you may be irritated by my seriousness; I was born that way. I'm also a shy person by nature. Right now, I'm still trying to be more open and friendly. Please guide me along.

In my time in West Spring, there was a time when my morale was completely down for a long time. It was due to a personal incident late last year. It hit me really hard. I'm sure most of you noticed the emotional stuffs I posted in FB. It may irritate you but, that was the only way I could express myself. Thankfully, it has passed and I'm okay now thanks to those who supported me. I'm sorry if those posts irritated you.

I've already deleted all those unproductive Notes and replaced them with my article series A Piece To Share. I hope those articles benefit you all.

My point is, I just want every one of us to feel the need of being united as a class again even though we are not going to sit in the same classroom again. To value the friendship that we built and forged last year.

Don't let it die out and waste it just like that!

I really wish to see in 10 years time all of us are still in contact with each other, saying 'hello' when we meet in the streets without any awkwardness, still helping each other out when any one of us are in need and having gatherings once in a while just to know that we still have each other. I pray every night that all of us feel the same.

Then, Now and Next

The meaning of the future, if you see through it to the core, is nothing but the result of our interactions with nature in this world. Which is why everything in this world must be determined through tangible results. The future itself is carved out this way, step by tiny step. Without something or someone missing, one would lack the appreciation of it. This is the reason why we seek to live in a way where we feel no worries and slowly find our purpose in life to fulfil. I spent lots of time thinking and finding a direction in which is right for me. Every crossroad i have i meet the end and then turn back. Every happy moment is never a round-about, it is never meant to last. We all sought for a reason to do the things we love but simple reasons go along way. Now the emotional part is over and obviously it does not make sense. To the random nonsense part now.

Today's random topic would be any random thing i can think of. Firstly is parkour, seeing real pros do it, i think no one should try. There is a clear difference between Climbing randoming and co-ordinating movement. One is swift, decisive with no room for mistakes the other is clumpsy, slow movement with no elegance. It is so easy for someone to fall and definitely requires a high amount of physical strength. Dangerous stuff, don't try it at home, in a carpark, out side a carpark, outside your house or anywhere for that matter without professionals by your side. I am saying this cause i saw someone fall from trying and i burst out laughing. No doubt i am evil. No link but yeah.

Secondly, Christmas is coming, love is in the air but the winds are so strong nowadays, all the love has been blown away. SAD. just kidding. Christmas is a wonderful season, perhaps the one i enjoy most besides all other holidays that allow me not to go to school. I love christmas, i hope this year something good will happen to me this year and most probably another CLASS OUTING i think. Can plan first then say. HAHA.

Thirdly, i will enjoy my freelance lifestyle from today onwards. Most probably not going get a job, for those who are working i hope you guys are adjusting well. If you all finding work you can turn to me, i help you find, no commission so technically i doing charity work. I will walk around looking for something entertaining, whoever wants to join me just drop me a text or something but most probably i am not going to touch my phone for sometime. But i will just leave it on. in case my deepest desires come true or should i say my highest hopes for something to happen.

Fourthly, When in rome is a nice romance movie, those of you who are free go watch it. Cause Kristen Bell is hot if you guys are looking for a reason to watch.

Lastly, everyone is going their separate ways soon, i guess it'll soon to my turn to part ways. Sad , nostalgic feeling which is one of the reasons which cause me many sleepless nights. Weird random dreams pop up now and then like last night i dreamt our class was in a cooking lesson learning how to make some strawberry pie thingy. Nic was play punk with the oven or something then when it was my turn my alarm rang... One of the many crazy things but yeah thats all i have to say.

Ok abit fail i tried to make a crazy post by compounding song lyrics but somehow it just does not allow it. So yeah let me write more random stuff for today. Today's random topic would be on whatever I can think of.

Yesterday was fun, entertaining and most importantly memorable. It was half illegal, mostly fun and totally great. With many fun stuff before and during the bbq. Like thinking the rain would stop soon and cycling in the rain lol. stupid. I felt so fail... I should have checked the weather forecast first. This part i have nothing to say. With everyone putting in so much effort i felt i should have played my part better too. Though it was still fun working with everyone and running in the rain. Never felt this tired. I have never tasted food this great especially when it was cooked by my friends. Luckily our class is naturally filled with talents with people like yujie handling the fire starting, chingying,xiaowei,jordan and others cooking, many others preparing the food and some people like guanhong helping to clear the food. This was such a combined effort and surely made me view the class in a lovely manner.

At least i learnt somethings yesterday. Firstly, when the sky is dark and when it start to clear, the rain won't stop for another few hours. Secondly, never rush to open a bottle with those type of metal beer caps, confirm get cut. Guess i forgot my physics at this point. Thirdly, Knuckle vs Bag of ice, knuckles definitely win but you'll bleed. haha. Fourthly, erm Ben can dance? Fifth, 7-eleven is not near to our pit. Ok all nonsense nvm i am trying to make it look long.

East coast look pretty cool thought, at night the water looks go glimmery and stunning as though i could run on it. Nice day though. If not for the rain...

Prom over.

For now its too late to sit back and pray.

we can only look with a positive game.

Many things are expected,
but how many are accepted.
Emotions can affect one's day,
and indirectly one's fate.
To overcome negative emotions,
one has to proceed with caution.

Poem fail x2 i shall stop this already. I think prom was great and after prom chilling was awesome too. Though i cannot put my hands straight due to some retardness, i shall still type some post on the blog. When people are alone, million of thoughts flood through their mind, pieces of memory slowly fit into place, deciphering moments of the past slowly start to make sense. Its always too late when we realise we missed something we needed to do. That is when true regrets happen. Times like this are a plenty for me, therefore i am always overwhelmed by such emotions; envy, hate regret ad fear as such.

The point is to live without hesitation, if you have anything you want to do(provided it is not life threatening, inhumanly unsafe, utterly insane or does not follow any laws of physics) we should not hesitate to do it. This would be living life to the fullest and the path to least regrets i suppose.
However the main point is to say that, for those who felt prom was awesome, you are awesome too. For those who did not see the point and fun in prom, rethink the moments you had, why do something you did not enjoy. Look on the bright side, this is the last fun gathering we'll have as a cohort. Although i seriously doubt anyone did not have fun, i just typed it cause i cannot really think straight now. See you guys at BBQ later. For those fishing, if you catch anything that is not poisonous, not too large ( eg Fish>1m), not unsightly and edible, i guess you guys could cook it? Nothing tastes better then the fruits of labour. If any soul is still awake at this moment text me, i will be bored packing and most probably won't sleep. hahaha. lame nvm.

Tomorrows Prom...

It came at me, and I grabbed its snout. I jabbed at it but to no avail. I stabbed it's eyes with my fingers and blood flowed freely from its scarlet eyes. It leapt into the air and growled and surfaced with its belly up, dead. Enraged, they swam around trying to surround me, but I quickly ran up the stairs. I pressed my back against the wall as the sharks attempted to bite down on me. I entered the cave and into the balcony as I heaved a sigh of relief from that horrifying encounter.

It's a weird dream alright...

Hi everyone. me again, sorry to disappoint you but i'm just trying to keep it alive. I am just feeling down as usual, nothing much here, nothing much there but i just hope that someone does update soon. Its great to see everyone moving on fast, everyone heading on their own paths and doing things they love. Its still hard for me to believe this is the end of my secondary school life and after all my blunders and mistakes, I am here today. Times like this really make me feel fortunate but not being thankful for it. Well prom in 3 days, class BBQ in 4, at least i have things to keep me occupied. Hope everyone is prepared for prom.

Its still the holidays, I feel so nostalgic about school and all the awesome people i met. Oh well today i still talk more nonsense. Waking up at 5.30pm after sleeping at 3am doesn't make you more energetic from first hand experience. To feel another day wasted alone and another day yet again would be wasted feels really stupid. I will just flow with the wind and see where it takes me. Some of you are working, i want to say that work hard earn lots of money keep yourselves happy. I will not be working though, i am satisfied with everything i have now and i do not want much. I think the reason why you guys work is either to kill time or to earn more money to buy stuff you all like, so good luck working hard. Now the first random paragraph is over i shall move on to the random topic for today, theories of life.

Life is very weird, when we are in a rush, the bus doesn't come, there are no taxis and everything is against you. This is a bad moment of life. When we are just going with the flow, when the bus does not come, we have the patience to wait and the tide never goes against you because there is none. This is a neutral moment of life. Sometimes in some situations, the bus comes exactly at the right time, the traffic lights always remain green and tides always flow along with you, where you will be in what most people call a lucky day. This is a good moment of life. However, many people fail to notice that bad times happen the least, good times abit more often and neutral times most often. This is a very general statement subjected to changes. When something bad happen, we spend alot of time cursing our fates instead of just accepting it. We ponder alot over it although it many be just one occasion. Therefore it seems long, therefore it seems like it happens often. I think i have said this before in a previous post so i shall not talk much about this.

Another thing in life is that when someone we really want, something we hope will happen, it will never happen. Life is not a fairytale and sooner or later everyone comes to accept it. So, we have no one else to blame but ourselves when something bad happens. I blame myself for everything and i will do my best not to drag anyone down. Few people actually have their dreams actually coming true but those are just short-termed dellusions from the way i see it. When one actually hopes to be able to protect the people around him, one rarely gets the chance to and when the time comes even fewer rise to the occasion. I used to have high hopes and dreams too but now just to save myself from the feeling of failure i will keep those hopes and dreams to things more feasible. But thats just myself. I hope to see everyone around me turn more successful than me, i hope to see that everyone can be happy and can make sure all their wishes are fulfiled. Everyone will meet a time where the light in their lifes are lost, in this moment, anyone can turn to me for help cause i am very free and have nothing better to do. All i can say is i will help those in need and most of the time i put others ahead of myself and thats about it.

Somehow i feel like i don't wanna go for prom, weird feeling, even weirder thoughts. ' Everyone wants to go to heaven but no-one wants to die.' -Eugine. Truth behind this statement is obvious so this is the end of my random nonsense for today. Good nights to everyone, enjoy the weekend, don't waste it like me.

To just keep it alive i shall think of more random things to say at night if no one updates by most probably 10 pm . Today's random topic will be on things that are most memorable in the past two years. In no order of how memorable it is, i hope it sparks some memories that will make you laugh staring at your computer screen. I am brain-drained at the moment thinking all sorts of nonsense about life but let me get to the point.

1. The guys playing halo at computer lab while using the names of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _. No further explanation required. Ask around the guys who played that time.

2. Mr Teo's birthday celebration. Touching and very meaningful event for our ex-form teacher. Great organisers, great people came, great people filming/taking photos and the many people who got involved to make it wonderful.

3. The Mr Liu interview. Below is an extract on the parts in which i cannot forget.
Yufei : ' What do you plan to do after you retire?'
Mr Liu : ' I plan to be a retired teacher.'
~
Yufei : ' What do you think of North Korea? Like their nuclear activities(at that time) and all those?'
Mr Liu : ' I think North Korea is the north of South Korea.'

4. The X-men and X-men 2 videos we made at darren's house. I cannot really remember whose idea it was but it was still great and randomly funny at the end. With a wonderful cameraman and some people who were bored, came the two x-men videos. Can't forget how joke the filming process was.

5. Vietnam. Enough said here for me. However i shall elaborate for the rest. The first day where everyone got me a vietnam girlfriend... At night where we had random tau pok sessions and doing random nonsense. The night where they bought sparkling juice and tried to trick Mr Teo it was wine. LOL. The mass truth or dare session. All the crazy stuff and how those few days felt like afew hours.

6. All the outings and stuff to Mr Teo's house. The New Year and christmas ones especially are the ones i enjoyed most. Going to his house is more of learning new things too as well as having fun with both friends and him and his family. He is such a great host, always caring to invite us over.

7. Class Skit. I had so much confidence we were going to win, so sure we would be first and yet so sure our performance was the best. With Mr Teo's innovative idea and with enthusiatic crazy people like Dinie, i was so sure yet so wrong. All thanks to the guy who lives on ammonia. But the result did not really matter, it was clear who had the better performance. It was an exciting yet funny experience though. Mr Teo's flexibility allowed room for new ideas and room for mistakes, he did not scold us for mistakes but turned mistakes into ways to improve the skit. Everyone had a great laugh and sure enough we had fun too.

8. Speech to support YuJie to help in get a position as a YOG torch bearer. This one was very funny cause the speech was made under an hour by putting in random bits and pieces of things that we wanted to say and developing it to a proper speech. At first only yufei made the speech, I felt very fail so i tried improving on his speech but in the end we made two scripts meant to flow smoothly and fluently. In the end our speech was total ownage, very joke, Mr Seet was just stunned. But actually we did not do that much. HAHA.

9. Forensics Science thingy. In the middle of vivocity where we did the science thingy, we did many crazy things too. Like the taupok the god session, erm disturbing Mr Seah and stuff. Then it was one very fun session of laughter and many crazy things. Total disgrace i would say but life's short WHO CARES about disgrace. This one, we learn science and had fun and bonded together, how much more can one ask.

OK I AM BRAIN DEAD. This shall be all i say for now, hopefully someone updates tomorrow cause i am running out of ideas soon. DARREN BETTER UPDATE IF NOT YOUR DSA TO _ _ _ SURE APPROVED BY ME PERSONALLY. I sort of wasted the first few days of this holiday, i don't feel its long. But i do feel the time after bio paper 1 was wisely spent. Treasure and enjoy your holidays people.

Sup people its me again. Different colour this time. I think i have alot to say but i don't really do now. I used to be full of ideas, full of imagination. Now it seems like hopeless dreams and far-fetched thoughts. Well, time is a really strange thing. It has no form, no shape but humans gave it a shape, an idea on how it exists in the form of numbers. Without it, we will have hardly any limits in life and hardly any sense on when is the right moment for things. Yet on the other hand it is a restriction, time changes people for better or for worst. We can hardly do anything against the force and power of time. In our world today everything is defined using time, like when the train arrives, when we wake up, when we eat or when we finally meet our end. Its always a matter of time. Time is just a very powerful thing.

Every moment in life, there is good and bad, sometimes they coexist to form something most people call neutral. People take the neutral times for granted like how we go home everyday, sleep eat or practically doing nothing. People enjoy the good moments but often forget them. The bad moments were meant to last, meant to hit where it hurts most, leaving unforgettable experiences. Whenever we enjoy a good moment it never seems to last however bad moments seem to take an eternity to end. 'A minute with you is worth more than a thousand days without your love.' - Justin Bieber ( Love me). This phrase in the song is sort of showing what i mean but i don't exactly mean it in the form of love, i just mean it in the form of anything good. Its like saying a good time only lasts a minute but a bad time lasts a thousand days.

The main point of things is to say treasure the times we all had in secondary schools, forget the bad times. Even though bad times are unforgettable and the feeling of regret, agony, fear, hopelessness and hesitation in life smack you in the face, we must never forget the light that we once saw in our lives. No matter how much we forget how it feels like to bathe in the warm rays of the sun, no matter how much we forget the cooling breeze of the rain, we must never dwell in the darkness of the past. We all must take a step and move on in life and treasure the best memories, leave the bad ones behind. That is the true essence of living life to the fullest.

Even in bad times, to make the current moment look like you are in paradise you must learn to fight fire with fire, use poison to counter poison. For example, when i am stress in the current moment i will think about the time i get enlisted(just a random example). Then the current moment feels just so great and strength to move on automatically comes.

After so much said, i just hope that everyone has felt that their secondary school life was meaningful no matter what setbacks you have come upon. Because if you think secondary school was bad wait till we enter the working world. From what i can see now its just like civil war in the working world, with every man for himself. With no one to trust and no light to follow, all we have left are these memories which are meant just for the purpose of bringing back hopes in the darkest of all moments.

I think the blog feels more lively again with me talking to myself like once everyday here with an occassional viewer or two. So much said yesterday and i missed out the main point. The main point i wanted to say yesterday was that i hope many many people turn up for the bbq. The more the merrier, the noisier the better. I hope that no matter what, This bbq will be successful, must be successful and shall be. The best way to make it memorable is to do something very rare, something out of the box and something very stupid.

For once there was a town in belgium, it was known as kaster. There was a man there who was a rapist. He did not rape people just as all the other rapist did but he did it in a BLASTOISE suit. What he did made the world look at him in a different light, now we can go to google and type 'define KASTER' see what you get. Now the world world knows about kaster and that guy in the blastoise suit.

The main point is we must do something cool but doing it cool with an added excitement like we all wear spongebob shirts. ok thats lame but its a suggestion. The kaster thing is real though. Enjoy life while i sulk in mine.

The Banana King once told Charlie the Unicorn," Fear prevents people from doing what they love." Before our O levels we worry about our content, during o levels we worry about the difficulty of the paper now after o levels we worry about the results. This is know as the cycle of fear which i believe exists in many people. To break out of this endless cycle of unhappiness, we must look on the brighter side of life, no matter what the fears are, no matter what the outcome is we must have faith. 'When the shadows are darkest, it only goes to show that the light is equally as strong.' Having a strong faith, a positive attitude, a clear mind and a heart without worry, this is when people live life to the fullest. In life there is nothing to fear, nothing that cannot be overcame, nothing that will hold you down for as long as your determination does not falter, nothing that can stop one with a goal and nothing to defeat one be an eventual victory.

After so much said and so little done, i feel that i am talking to myself. So a little favour i ask from one and all, if you have read anything on the class blog regardless of who you are just tag it on the shout box so don't feel so lonely. O lvls is finally over. Its too late to say we feel like studying cause that will wait for next year! Now its time to PARTY! But firstly we must make the class blog alive again. Back to its former glory, no matter how good a swordman is, without a good sword, he will always be at a disadvantage. Many sayings are flawed and many people just say things in the heat of the moment. So to make sure the blog is successful, no matter how good the post is, there must be someone to read it that will make it meaningful. A wise man once said, ' Whoever said dead man tells no tales obviously doesn't take history.' So now the nonsense is over we will move over to the more serious stuff.

A saying goes,' The pen is mightier than the sword.' to evaluate this statement, it applies to this date rather then the past. To possess a sword this day one must first do the paper work to get the lisense for the sword hence to do the paper work a pen must be used.

Another saying goes,' Wisdom outweighs any wealth.' This saying has two deep meanings one can understand, or maybe i can. One a wise man does not care about wealth for his wisdom is able to guide him where wealth comes into concern. Two being wise can earn you lots of money so everyone should just use abit of common sense, be wise and get fools to pay you lots of money for some simple advice.

Blog is so dead i should cut the formalities. Really would appreciate someone posting something here even if it is utter nonsense. As long as its for humans to read i dun really mind. Hello People.

The class outing seems to have cause some tensions to stir among us. It is not my place to criticise anyone niether it is my place to question our bond as a class. I just want to say that this is our last year together as a class, these are the time which we will look back to in the future. There are many things we regret not doing and there are things we regret doing too, if the class really does not want the outing or if the majority does not want it then i have nothing to say. But thinking it through clearly i find that this is both a great moment for us to relax for before the real studying begins again. If this moment is one that will bring both a great joy to the class as well as a better bond i do not see any reason why we should not go with the outing. Then again how many people do actually go back to our class blog to read it, to check for updates of the class or just to simply catch up with the class...

We're out there, we're racking our brains and spending our time, and yet you are not there to give suggestions and opinions. What's the purpose of the meeting? Blog like going K.O again... It seems its my turn to update, there is nothing much happening lately, only intensive and intensive and more intensive and missing out on e learning day. But actually i don't really find that its that horrible, only a blackout during paper 1. Recess was pretty cool, with minimal amount of people and a buffet for teachers( leaving out all the students...). Tomorrow lessons resume as normal, we are blessed as we dun have structured remedial tomorrow but who knows what will be thrown at us again. 1 hour love for mother earth. It's quite sad that mother earth only warrants 1hr of our time.

Switch off all electricity within your control for that hour. Gather at your nearest shopping mall for the free electricity, free socialism, free window shopping. It's quite a neat deal all in all.

If it's up to me, it should be earth day everyday. Taking care of the land we rest on is only fitting. You don't defecate the bed you sleep in, do you? Ah, but apparently, the filthy man does.

For centuries, man has cultivated the fine practice of dumping excrement in our own backyard, thinking it's our neighbours' land. But ain't all man house under the same roof? Now, the overloaded system, like the over-chocked toilet bowl, is threatening to drown us in our own product. Man's innovative way of flooding his own grave.

The imagery is such a huge turn-off.

If it's up to me, we should do some major turning off. Let all the power stations in the world go on strike. Let us take a breather from our busy lives. Let the world stop. Let us observe the peace of silence. Let nature embrace us.

IT WAS SCARY to read how a country, one so mocked at, is rising to take over the world. I had this deja vu thought, hey it's the Qin Dynasty all over again! This time maybe China would succeed, what Qin Shi Huang failed 2200 years ago. The Chinese though born into a smaller build, has far too great a patience and perseverance than the westerners. I am stupefied by the pride the Chinese in China have for their country. No wanton leader could have garnered such patriotism from its citizens. China had its string of good leaders, like MAO ZHE DONG, QIN SHI HUANG, and now HU JIN TAO.

Did you know? for last year's Copenhagen World Climate talk, Mr Hu knew that China was not given an authoritative stand and he sent some low level official for the talk? Why we can't get rid of failing teachers.

Yet in recent years researchers have discovered something that may seem obvious, but for many reasons was overlooked or denied. What really makes a difference, what matters more than the class size or the textbook, the teaching method or the technology, or even the curriculum, is the quality of the teacher. Much of the ability to teach is innate—an ability to inspire young minds as well as control unruly classrooms that some people instinctively possess (and some people definitely do not). Teaching can be taught, to some degree, but not the way many graduate schools of education do it, with a lot of insipid or marginally relevant theorizing and pedagogy. In any case the research shows that within about five years, you can generally tell who is a good teacher and who is not.

The unexpected of all things happened, it was beyond my control. If any guy or girl wants to like whack me or whatsoever just do it la as long as you all feel better or more at ease i won't mind. Just a short critique on the Principal's Dialogue held on 9 March 2010:

The two hours of almost rhetorical, back and forth ball passing dialogue was somehow riveting! I sat there, amused by the crap some of the speakers came up with. Most of the students do not make any effort to speak in complete, proper English.

The Auditorium was seated with student councilors, class executive members, CCA leaders and teachers. The authoritative people, Ms Priscilla Yu, Bibiana, Mr Seet, Mr Suki, Mr Siva/Mr Adrian Tan sat behind five desks on the stage. Mr Seet did a quick introduction on the Principal's Dialogue; it's purpose was to allow lawmakers of West Spring to listen and hear the students' voices, those present were called the Cream of the Crop of West Spring.

Shi Yun asked the first question on why was heavy topics put close together for Common Test 1. Mr Seet explained that it was to further stretch our ability to cope with our studies.

Next, Jie Ming championed for handphones to be allowed in school. Many people supported in applause. First of all there are no such thing as handphones, it is officially known as the mobile phone. Secondly, this took up one hour of the whole dialogue!

For mobile phones:
for emergency in class. Example given: someone fell and was bleeding profusely.

Those who brought their phones to school and did not carry a pass were told to raise their hands. More than 50% of hands raised up. Mr Seet stated that more will be discussed with his discipline committee. Raising your hands at that moment, i believe, was an act of defiance, a blatant disregard for law and order. Its like, being proud of killing! Just because the majority bring their phones to school illegitimately, does not make it justifiable to do so. The school does not and should not cultivate a democratic structure. It should remain guided and governed by the Principal, vice-principals and teachers, until one day when an intelligent and mature enough cohort come along. Till then, we should only be given the freedom of speech and not the freedom of action.

Current Solution: Just get the bloody pass from Mr Suki.

Had been busy with nothing actually. Just lazing around like herds grazing lazily.

I will change the blog template to 4D on 31st December.
Have rushed plans for Class Tee to be out in January.
Will confirm Class Tee design over here, most probably by next week.
All I can say is, I have rather ambitious plans for it (Class Tee). To make up for missing a year (2009).
All you have to do, is wear it frequently (class Tee)!
All 3D students are invited to Mr Teo's house on 23rd December for a Christmas Celebration, more info will be posted soon.
Hope that Mr Colin Teo will still remain as our form teacher, then i will be able to get the noticeboards and class decorations up and done by Jan. No news on that yet.

Sorry for the mega delay, but here's the itinery for the Vietnam trip. It's from the May schedule but most of the info is still valid.

Downed a cup of hot milk tea and went on prowling the net. Five minutes past eleven and the night is cool. Other than the buzzing of the fan, and the occasional subdued screeching of halting buses under my flat, it was quiet.

I stopped at 3D ‘09’s Class Blog and stared blankly at the date of the previous post, Wednesday 26 August. That was five days ago, no one took the trouble to update the class blog again, and there was this tag by Teena. I smiled at myself, thinking about her relationship with Wei Sheng. The class blog had attracted quite a number of foreign visitors since Mr Liu’s famous interview got put up.

I decided to type a new entry for the blog. Thought long on what to write about, flipped through my past years’ English files and found this:

I have a large extended family and I am very close to all of them. Everyone from my father’s side would get together every Saturday evening at my grandma’s house. Now only my youngest uncle stay there, my grandma had moved to stay with my aunt. My grandfather died, I think he died even before I was born, so I never met him before. My grandmother gave birth to thirteen boys and girls! That is also the reason why I have countless cousins.

Something I remembered about my nursery school was that I was always the tallest. I also remembered this guy, his name was Yeo Yi. I was always fighting with him. He likes to use his nails to scratch me, so we would normally end up fighting.

I do not have a single sibling, I think I would like a younger brother so that I could teach him all the things I learnt at school.

My favorite times were times I spent with two of my cousins when we stayed overnight at my other uncle’s house (Those cousins are not his sons, my uncle lives with his wife only). My uncle lives in a four room flat at Punggol and we would usually go there for a three-day stay during the school holidays. Sometimes we would go fishing, there was once my cousin caught a big fish! My uncles has diabetes, but he did not look down on life and that is something I admire about him. He would bring us to eat at Botak Jones and my favorite fish soup when we are over at his house.

I had achieved much during my six years of primary school life. As I recalled about the time when I was primary one, it was as if it was yesterday. St Anthony’s Primary school had shaped me into what I am today. The activity that I loved most was bowling, it was rather unique to have bowling as a co-curriculum activity as it is very rare. I will always remember the teacher-in-charge, mr Sim, he was also the discipline master of my school and he is fat! When we were taking the flag raising ceremonies in the morning, he would put his hand clamp together on his tummy (Yes, he is fat enough to do that) and his thumb will roll around each other.

During my free time with my family, we would usually go out and feast on yummy food. I love chilli crabs and I would only take the pincers while my parents eat the rest.

Sometimes after school, I would go out to the church close to my house, to help out. I had done things like painting and selling of shirts, its actually quite fun.

I think I will grow up to be a chef or an architect because I like to cook and I do not know why, but I love to draw floorplans whenever I am free. The good thing is, this jobs can give me a good income, if I do it well.

Teachers Day is tomorrow and I would like to thank all my teachers for the hard work they put in, the extra support they show, and the always-available helping hand they lend out. Special thanks go to these teachers who had touched my life and molded me. Listed out in no particular order:

· Mr Colin Teo (2009): Most supportive form teacher

· Ms Katherine Chia (2002, 2004): Extremely friendly, friends for 7 years; cfm must go back SAPS to see her every year.

· Mr Vincent Seah (2008, 2009): Love his well-structured lessons, making Chemistry look a notch easier. Intelligent and very efficient.

· Ms Tan Hui Ling (2007): Total passion for her own subject, for that, I respect her. Her personal blog had continuously inspired me until today.

· Mr John Goh (2008): Made English look easy with his structured teaching. Inspired me to try to improve my English.

· Mr Liu Mun Kang (2009): His love for Amaths made me guilty when I didn’t do well for exams.

· Ms Michelle Chang (2008-2009)): Super friendly, helpful and supportive, with great leadership skills. Never ever turned down a request.

· Ms Anitha Nevaretnam (2007-2008): Provided a good listening ear, fun, lovable and dearly missed.

· Ms Siti (2007-2009): Supportive and fun, with great ‘aura’

I don’t know what will be a good present, I am lousy at choosing them. I stopped buying teachers, Teacher’s Day presents when I was in primary 4; they just don’t cut the gratitude I feel towards you all.

Exams; Unending Hag

Its not even 2 weeks yet, and the next's time-table has arrived. No time for long breaks, no time to let loose yourself. Time is short, in a few brief months, we will be in secondary 4 already. I pray hard hard that none of us have to drop any subjects.

Trust me, time is really really short. If you think you have a lot of time to play and have fun, you better wake up your idea now. Even though Mr Prakash kept repeating that O' Levels is the important one, do not forget that you have to pass this stage to get to that. So please please please please please, don't joke around in class anymore, let us all concentrate and study effectively. All the BEST.

So... hmm.. Who is at fault?

Who is at the wrong first? In my humble opinion, I think Mr Seet is wrong first, because, he should not had canceled Prom. As prom means, "A formal ball held for a school class toward the end of the academic year". Prom nights should be held every year, and no one should be deprieved of it.

Lets just hope that Mr Suki or Mr Siva do not catch them.

We were like, " Jun Jie, you like XXXXX right?"
Then he kept on denying it. All of us were at Macdonald's
I decided to prank him with an sms:

Do you know that Jun Jie Likes you?

I mouthed it out as i typed. Then I delete the sms, he doesn't know, he thought I sent it to XXXXX already. Then he kept on wa-lauing me and Wei Sheng. I typed another sms:

Ya, I knew it alrdy. I think he is kinda hot too.

I sent it to myself, and rename my number as XXXXX. I showed it to him. LOL his reaction was so funny! He was shocked, then he slumped back into the seat, seating very quietly. Wei Sheng and me was already laughing like mad.

Ching and Nadd was there at some other table too, so I said I will show them the message. I can sense that he was very emotional at that moment. He repeatedly told us not to spread.

Ignoring him, I walk over to the other table and tell them, Jun Jie tried to take my back and walk away. Then we told him to truth. He laughed at himself too, but I think he was crying inside, that XXXXX doesn't really love him.

Jun Jie, its alright. I still love you as a friend.

It sped past with speed of a bullet train. Another week was over again. It has been a busy week, but thank God for the many opportunities to de-stress, relax and bond with my friends. Let me list them!

· Laugh at teachers! Tsktsk. (Ms Ng, Ms Lee’s Feedback system, Mr Seah & Ms Chen, Ms Hung & Mr Liu)

· Ms Chong no mood swings!

· Only 1 Chinese Period!

· Mr Liu’s Sunwalk!

· Mr Liu’s Sunwalk Ver 2!

· Ms Hung’s ~~Sunjump~~ Sunhop!

· Laugh at Friends! (Dinie, Weisheng, Melissa (“Cher, lesson end already, I need to go home”), Jun An, Ho Kiat, Hannah, Qian Ying)

· ‘Rat-tat-tat’, ‘Ka-Boom-Ba’, ‘Bang’, etc.

· Wei Sheng’s Constant company

· Exams are coming again! = Mugging with buddies.

· Made new friends!

· Paid debt of $25 to Jeffry. Clear now!

That’s all I can think of now. Really, really enjoyable week, thanks to all of you who made it this way. Hey, why not all of you share what you liked about the week here too!

I went to a special Macdonald’s branch today, been there a few times before. They used to sell Double Quarter Pounder, a burger of utmost juiciness, thickness, and Tongchainess. I was saddened to find that it has been replaced by a new sandwich. This branch has special burgers and items that are exclusive to them only. I tried the new item despite my heavy heart. It turned out to be as good as the DQP!

“Indulge in a taste of the gourmet. A deluxe serving of premium beef patty, swiss and chddar cheese, sliced tomatoes, onions and mayo, sandwiched between lightly toasted Ciabatta bread. See the distinction. Taste the goodness.” That was the description, but seriously, the beef patty was atrociously big!

Think I will be returning again soon to get a few more bites of those. Heals the wound.

Sunwalk; the new Moonwalk

Mr Liu did it. Actually, we did it! We succeeded in making Mr Liu do his newly invented Sunwalk! It was never easy to bring out the child in a teacher, especially an older, wiser one. This "Crap Sunwalk" is lame and dull, however Mr liu's sunwalk was full of fun and joy. Its a classic, particularly after almost everyone gave a round of applause.

It will be remembered for the years to come.

Honesty {Gone}.

Sidd stood in quandary. A fat ebony Gucci wallet laid asleep in his pocket. The bills inside gave a succinct entry to the owner, filthy rich. That was enough to panic Sidd. He paced around the bus stop where he picked up the branded wallet. He knew the brand, Gucci, an iconic fashion label gilded for their leather goods. Sidd sweated profusely.

Money was never enough for him. His family had been facing problems with it for as long as he could remember. He stopped pacing and leaned his slender body against a panel. He thought to himself: If I keep the wallet, I will not be hungry anymore for the next few months, my Dad and Mum will not need to suffer too.

The intellection was more than compelling. Right, Sidd was set on keeping the wallet. But at that very moment, a jolt from the cerebellum dragged him back. It was as if he had been called to return to the war zone. He sighed and thought to himself again: How had my Mum taught me? I have to stay honest and true to myself even if we are poor! Never steal, never lie and never cheat!

Like a cup, dilemma filled Sidd. Should he succumb to his own rash wishes and forgo his personal values? The inner-battle continued. Uninteresting individuals passed through the bus stop every few minutes. Sidd eyed each of them carefully, looking out for one, masked with anxiety. It became obvious that he waited not for buses. His inner self held off the darker thoughts, perplexed, Sidd decided to veil his wait a time limit. Minutes grew long, the darker thoughts began to power over his inner self again. Paranoid Sidd kept feeling for the wallet, making sure that it had not slipped out.

Time reached its limit, Sidd stood still and closed his tired eyes. Time froze. He apologized to Mum and himself silently in his heart. He had always been a filial and studious son, but now he resists temptation no more. He walked away from the bus stop, he walked away from inner self, and he walked away from principles. Honesty had came into him and now left him.

Sidd’s soul, drained of honesty, became an empty shell.

Many of you know that even though I don't have the best command of the language, I always try to write in proper English when I am posting on the class blog. I am very fussy about this. Whenever i come across another class's blog tainted with Singlish and Twits, I get very disgusted. There is nothing wrong with writing short forms and pronunciations, but sooner or later it will become the foundation for vulgarities. Students' update will soon be vulgarized; their posts will be littered randomly with coarse words. Using of Singlish, especially when you have not fully mastered English will only break down your language even further.

I would like to thank all of you who had posted on the class blog for trying your best to maintain the standard. Thank you and keep it up, your English will definitely improve.

We Need Ideas

Darren here. I'm sure it's pretty obvious the left side of the blog has had a revamp. Yu Fei and myself are now working to make sure our class blog has a "family" type of feeling. But we can't do it alone.

We need ideas for certain things, like:

1) A better title other than "3D" for the teachers information and everything (left hand side of blog). We racked our brains and we came up with ideas like "Know Us", "Recognise" or "Us" plus all sorts of crap. It has got to be catchy, unique and not too long. Think, think, think.

2) Class motto. All classes should have one and maybe we can put ours at our blog. Think harder, think harder, think harder.

3) Other things to include on our blog. We'll be coming up with the students list soon. Suggest, suggest, suggest.

Also, if you notice we've now included links to other class blogs. They are for your reference and "reading pleasure". And PLEASE DO NOT SPAM AT THEIR BLOG. That's lame, childish, unprofessional.

If any of your CCAs have blogs or websites and would like to include the link on our blog, feel free to tell Yu Fei or myself. We won't expect nor ask for a link back.

Hey Everyone,

WEI SHENG here =) hope everyone is doing well. Today its my turn to post... I don't really know what to say. Life has been abit interesting after the holidays when school has reopened. We have Mr Liu doing the moon walk, Mr Robert Teo coming in to relieve Miss Hang and telling lame jokes and cool pictures of the Spring Carnival, Especially the big picture of Hannah once you enter our class blog.

Most importantly 3D is like the best class. Everyone is very bonded for example when Mr Robert Teo came in every corner of the class had poeple trying to find excuses to escape doing work. Class is always so fun but sadly time flies. Tomorrow kiwi may not be coming just to let you guys know. He claims he has swine flu...(so totally seems like he is lying) Hope he gets well soon!!Well thats almost all i have to say.

Lastly REGISTER 20-24 remember to hand in your chem files on tues, the rest who have not handed in please do not rush please do a good job on your files and pass it to me asap. Thats all i think =)

I walked down the familiar tracks again. I slumped aimlessly under the heat. Like a thousand-carat diamond showing off its brilliant cuts, the sun sliced the sky into abstraction. After which he left behind his accomplices, Stuffiness and Humidity to finish of the job. The path was long; I have nowhere in mind to go. I just thought of seeing one train today, I would turn around, away from the blistering heat, and head back to main road, where trees provide shade, where life hits the green triangular 'play' button again.

Now, my life is in a standstill. There has been no sight of other beings the moment i stepped into this secluded place, so I could not be sure if time was actually still running. I was in my school uniform with my shirt neatly tucked in; even my collar pin was not taken off yet.

I thought I heard a slight enchanting tune, alike a sweet whisper. I moved closer to the source, hastening my steps. From behind, came a humming sound. Faint at first, but growing by the second. Two honks blanketed the atmosphere. Out of a sudden, the clock seemed to tick again. The train sped past me. The ground rumbled like a mild earthquake, causing small rocks to avalanche down small rock piles.

This was what I came here for, the immense roaring of the engine that consoles the mind, the mild earthquake that soothes the spirit, the swashing wind that rejuvenates the soul. It’s a miniscule comparison to the effects of the Grand Canyon, but something similar. The majestic hollering made me new again.

I walked on to the source of the bewitching tune, which I can only put it somewhere between Indian and Arabian. It has that pinch of bell-like timbre, yet the bass was deep. It seemed to be coming from inside the Hindu temple. The path I stood on was in the open, the temple resides among a messy shade of palm trees and banana trees.

Its roof protruded out from the greenery like a pyramid. On it was small intricately carved statues, I could only recognize Lord Vishnu, the figurine painted in blue, and the rest were foreign. The path cuts into the shade, leading up to the back exit of the temple. A ray of light shone down through the thick leaves onto the tattered backdoor that look more like a stack of wire mesh, cupboard, newspapers and scotch tape hinged to the wall. It was slightly ajar so I peered in curiously, I could see Hindus. My mind start boiling up wild thoughts, what if they are some weird tribesmen and they catch me and eat me?

The music was too enchanting for me to walk away immediately; I stood there like a humming bird sucking nectar. Until somebody invited me in, I was expecting it, Hindus are generally kind, yet we are always making fun of them! They signaled me to remove my shoes which I had unknowingly walked in with, I felt abashed.

Devotees stood facing yet another row of a dozen statues. Four men half clad in white cloth were pouring milk on various statues of different animals. The beguiling tune came from a group of 2 humbly dressed men. One of them was thumping his fingers on a tabla, an Indian drum, and another guy was handling a shehnai, similar to an oboe.

At that very moment, the impregnable, yet inconspicuous line between different races became clear. We are all separated by boundaries. These boundaries are thicker for certain races and thinner for other ones. This boundary is religion. Malays are devoted Muslims. Indians are committed Hindus. Chinese are separated into a few, Buddhists, Taoists, Christians, Catholics, etc.

And it is because all these religions do not accept each other, therefore, we can never live together harmoniously. The only way to unite everyone is to remove religion (errm, which is impossible), otherwise a thousand years later, there will still be war and hate. I finally realised the irony of it; religions are opposing each other, like little kids fighting, even though the basics of all faiths starts from Love.

May thou Lord bless me with the understanding of this wretched world.

Ching here. I'm just posting for fun. Because, I've never done this before, on a class blog and the last post was on like, 12 June or smth.hehaho. I know i'm effing lame. But still! Is the entertainment for the class right. Anyway, I did miss you all. Really. Holidays kind of suck. We should really do more bonding! Outings and such.
